# Holm > Holm is a self-hosted application platform for individuals and small teams. One Go binary hosts many apps; one SQLite database holds the node's state. A Holm App Spec v1 app is static files plus, optionally, a JavaScript module answering requests with the standard Fetch API. There is no build step on the node. Holm is pre-1.0 and beta. Read the full reference before building or operating Holm apps. It is one self-contained plain-text file and teaches only what the released binary implements. ## Docs - [Set up Holm](https://holmhq.com/start.md): a short wizard for a coding agent setting Holm up for a person, from a local node to a first app, then online - [Full reference](https://holmhq.com/llms-full.txt): concepts, installation, node operations, the v1 app model, the server-side runtime API, the CLI, common recipes (section 22) and troubleshooting - [Field guide](https://holmhq.com/docs/): the same reference as a searchable website - [Install script](https://holmhq.com/install.sh): read it before running it - [Changelog](https://holmhq.com/changelog/): user-facing notes for each release ## Optional - [FAQ](https://holmhq.com/faq/): short answers about what Holm is and how to try it - [Holm Usage License](https://license.holmhq.com/v1/): the terms the binary ships under - [Example apps](https://github.com/holmhq/unofficial-apps): public Holm apps, each with the prompt that built it
